15 Die As Coach Falls Into Gorge

Muzaffarabad:Up to 15 people including two women were killed while six others sustained critical injuries when a passenger coach skidded off the runway and fell into a gorge near Davelian in Muzaffarabad on Saturday.

Police said a bus carrying up to 22 passengers veered off the road and fell into a gorge while negotiating a turn. The overspeed is said to be the cause of the accident. Resultantly, 15 people including a journalist Muhammad Zameer and his family died on the spot while six others got seriously injured.
The wounded were transferred to hospital in Muzaffarabad to about 3 hours of the accident scene, the police officials confirmed to the media.
