26/11 probe: Pak briefs it’s Indian envoy

Even as India mounts pressure on Pakistan to respond soon to the 26/11 dossier, the latter asked it’s High Commissioner to India, Shahid Malik to return back for consultations in conncection with the probe in November 26 Mumbai terrror attacks.
Sources said that Malik is currently bein briefed by officials of the Interior Ministry and the Foreign Office, members of the Federal Investigative Agency over the Mumbai terror probe.
Meanwhile, sources added that Pakistan is likely to hand over their reply to India’s 26/11 dossier to New Delhi’s envoy to Islamabad Satyabrata Pal. An announcement on the same is expected within the next two to three days, added sources.
Earlier, there were reports that threatened Shahid Malik would be killed if he did not immediately leave India. Following which, India had stepped up security for the Pakistani High Commissioner to the country. (Read more)
