56th Birthday Anniversary of Benazir Today

KARACHI: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) is scheduled to celebrate PPP’s assassinated chairperson
Benazir Bhutto’s 56th birthday by donating blood throughout the country, however no cake cutting ceremony will be held in this regard.
The main gathering would be held at Naudero where President Asif Ali Zardari is scheduled to donate his blood. PPP’s leadership including Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah would also be present in BB’s native town. They, along with the party workers, would also offer Fateha at her grave. The Sindh chief minister has already left for Larkana on Saturday.
According to PPP’s acting Sindh Secretary Information Waqar Mehdi, the blood collected in the blood donation drive would be sent to save lives of the Pakistan Army fighting against the terrorists in tribal areas. He said that blood donations camps would be set up in each district headquarters.
According to him, PPP would set up blood donations camps in five defunct districts of Karachi, where workers and leaders would start donating blood from 11:00 am in the morning.
