7 Died In Anti Ahmdinejad Relly

IRAN: At least seven civilians were killed when a military post was attacked near a rally in Tehran to protest the re-election of
President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad
, state radio announced on Tuesday.
It said the attack occurred at the end of the “illegal” rally on Monday as people were heading home “peacefully”.
“Some thugs in an organised and coordinated action, attacked and vandalised a number of public and government buildings,” the radio said.
“A military post was attacked with the intention of looting its weapons. Unfortunately, seven of our citizens were killed and a number of them injured.”
However, a source said that the emergency services department had information that eight people were killed and several wounded in the incident.
The coroner’s office when contacted said it had registered no deaths in connection with Monday’s rally.
