7 Policemen Killed in Afghanistan Violence

Seven policemen and a government official were killed in Taliban attacks and bomb blasts in various parts of Afghanistan on Saturday.
A government official was killed and three wounded in Taliban attack in district Nadir Shah Kot in Khost province, officials here said. A police van hit a landmine in Kandahar and four policemen were killed in the incident. US special envoy for Afghanistan and Pakistan Richard Holbrooke will meet Afghan President Hamid Karzai today.
