8 Killed As Mortar Shells Hit Houses in Swat

SWAT: Eight people have been killed and several injured when mortar shells hit houses in Alam Gunj area of Khawazakhel in Swat on Thursday.

According to sources, unknown persons shot dead local politician in Matta whereas Kanju-Kabal road remained closed for fourth consecutive day.

Meanwhile, security forces jets pounded militants hideouts in Peochar and Shor areas in tehsil Matta. However, no loss of life reported.

Unknown persons blew up six barber shops in Mangora. In Kabal, security forces operation entered into thirteenth day.
