80% Internally Displaced Persons not interested to live in campsISLAMABAD: NWFP Relief Commissioner Jamal Amjad has said that about 80 percent Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) are not interested to live in relief camps.

In an interview with BBC Radio, he said about 80 percent displaced people are going to their relatives instead of living in relief camps as following their Pashtun culture.

Only 20 percent people are reaching the camps who are being registered by the provincial authority, he added.

He said about 3.5 lac people belonging to the areas of Swat, Buner and Dir have reached to safe places.
