About Joan Kennedy

Virginia Joan Bennett Kennedy (born September 2, 1936) is a former American model and the former wife of the late Massachusetts Senator Ted Kennedy. After her divorce from her husband, she authored a book on introducing families to classical music. Upon the death of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis on May 19, 1994, Ms. Kennedy became one of only four living spouses (along with Sargent Shriver, Vicki Kennedy, and Ethel Kennedy) of the children of Joseph P. Kennedy and Rose Kennedy.
