Admiral Mullen Meets Pakistan Military Leaders Kiyani

ISLAMABAD: Top US military officer Adm Mike Mullen arrived in Islamabad on Wednesday and held meetings with top military officials of Pakistan.
Navy Adm. Mike Mullen, chairman of the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff has arrived in Islamabad on Wednesday in the wake of US efforts to ease tension between India and Pakistan over last week’s Mumbai attacks.
Mullen has arrived in the South Asia region around the same time as Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, who reached India today.
Admiral Mullen held meetings with Pakistan army chief, Gen. Ashfaq Pervez Kayani and Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee Gen. Tariq Majeed after his arrival.
Mullen is also expected to meet President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari during his stay in Islamabad.
