Adobe systems launches Suite-4 product family

Global software products major Adobe Systems Inc. today (September 26) launched the Adobe Creative Suite 4 product family that advances the creative process across print, Web, Mobile, Film and Video production.

“It includes a host of new features along with four products that have been developed in India including Illustrator, Captivate, Encore and Fireworks,” Adobe System India Pvt Ltd Director (Sales) Sandeep Mehrotra said.

Adobe Creative Suite Master Collection CS4 combines the company’s new design and development applications, technologies and services in a single box, said Mehrotra.

“Whether creating a rich internet application or a video, Adobe Creative Suite 4 delivers cross-media technologies that have the ability to elevate products, brands and ideas”, he said.

He said 95 per cent of people develop videos using the Flash Player and the latest product would enable more new features. Last year around three billion people were connected to the Internet using various devices like personal computers and mobile phones and by 2012, it is expected to increase to five billion, he said, adding out of this, only 20 per cent would be connected from personal computers while 50 per cent people would be connected through mobile phones and other devices.

The price of new product ranges between Rs.1,03,383 (for the Master collection) and Rs.34,661 (for upgrade of only CS4 family).

Adobe would also be carring out various activities such as road shows in 8-10 cities across India in the next few months to promote its new product.

At present, Adobe exmploys about 1,300 people in India, Majority of them are software developers. It has two research and development centres in Bangalore and Noida.
