Afghanistan Not Allowed to Be Al Qaeda Safe Haven: President ObamaLONDON: US President Barrack Obama has said the elimination of the terror network AlQaeda was in the best interest of Pakistan and Afghanistan.

Addressing a joint press conference with British Prime Minister Gordon Brown, Obama said Afghanistan not allowed to be a safe have for AlQaeda.

Obama said providing security to the people of Afghanistan is common responsibility of the world.

He said the United States and UK are partners both in the state of war and peace.

He said the US strategy for peace in Afghanistan and Pakistan is very clear. Obama said AlQaeda was planning forĀ  terrorism in Pakistan.

The global financial institutions have big challenges in 21st century as a large number of people losing their jobs and sustenance, he further said.

British Prime Minister Gordon Brown said the world can resolve the global meltdown with improvement in the economic situation. He called for unity to fight the crisis. Both Obama and Brown have agreed that “global solutions” are required for “global problems.
