Alleged Rape Offender Munawar Steps Down As MPA

LAHORE: The member national assembly of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) Munawar Gul, accused of rape offense, has resigned as the political advisor to Chief Minister Punjab Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif on Tuesday.
According to sources, MPA Munawar Gul is charged with rape of a woman following which the case has been registered against him.
Chief Minister Punjab Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has accepted his resignation, sources said.
Talking to Geo news, Munawar Gul termed the rape charge and FIR lodged against him as fake and baseless adding I know nothing about her.
Some of my antagonists are hatching conspiracies against me who will have to face the music, he predicted.
