KARACHI: People in various areas of Karachi Sunday protested against the power breakdown in the city after the rainfall.

The power supply could not be restored in those areas where the sub stations and feeders have submerged in the rainwater, KESC officials said.

According to the sources, more than half of the city was facing the prolonged power outage after the Saturday night rainfall.

Angry people came to roads in some areas and protested against 16 to 18-hour long power breakdown.
