APC Demands End of Forces Operation in Dir DIR: All Parties Conference organized by Jamat Islami in Dir has demanded immediate halt of the military operation in the region.

The conference was attended by the local leaders of the political parties. According , the APC has demanded immediate end of the drive against militants to provide chance to dialogue.

The Jirga members in a press conference clarified that the local notables had not invited the military for operation in the region.

Security has been tightened in Timergrah and heavy contingents of law enforcement agencies have been deployed at the exit and entry points of the area.

Large number of people fleeing from the area out of fear of an imminent operation in the region against militants.
