Army chief remarks reflect govt policy: Prime Minister Gilani

The Prime Minister after addressing the inaugural ceremony of Zero Point Interchange has said on Thursday that the statement of the Army Chief Pervaiz Kayani mirrors the policy of the government.

‘We are a responsible nation. I have the same opinion as that of the Army Chief on US measures and there is no disparity between our viewpoints.’ He added.

Prime Minister Gilani said nation should not worried about Mike Mullen’s remarks on Pakistan. “We are a responsible nation, and government and army stance on US actions is very clear.”

Earlier, addressing the inaugural ceremony, Gilani said PPP government was implementing the policy devised by its martyred leader Benazir Bhutto.

Government and opposition should work jointly for the growth and development of country, he added.
