Army could give in-camera briefing to Parliament: Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani said while addressing the Senate that his government is not bound to the United States but to the people and accountable only to them.
He said that vital action would be taken against those challenging the writ of the government while we do not believe in the politics of revenge and we forgive former president Pervez Musharraf..
The prime minister said that the rights of small provinces would not be abolished and an ulema conference would be called for eliminating the conflict continued in Bajaur and Parachinar.
He said that these people have come from outside and making us fight with each other.
Regarding the burial of five women alive in Balochistan, he said that such incidents are matters of the stone age and do not match the 21st century.
Yousuf Raza Gilani said that an in-camera briefing on the situation of the country would be arranged and if the Senate members desire chief of the army staff General Ashfaq Pervez Kiani may give them the briefing.
He told the Senate that some 6,500 vacancies are available in Balochistan and special arrangements are being made to give employment to the people.
The prime minister said in his address that whatever the promises he made would be fulfilled.
