SYDNEY: Cricket Australia (CA) said that the Australian cricket team would go on tour of India as per schedule and after Delhi bomb blasts, they have once again reviewed the security situation and found it satisfactory.
The CA’s double standard regarding security is now open to all. On one hand, they based security situation for not visiting Pakistan but at the same time they are ready to tour India despite bomb explosions in New Delhi.
Public Affairs manager CA Peter Young said in an interview that he has reviewed the security arrangements in India and this is quite satisfactory like previous week.
He said that the Board of Cricket Control in India (BCCI) would further improve the security of Australia’s A cricket team and the senior team and the security of the senior team would be made more strict as always.
Peter Young further said that the Cricket Australia is consulting with the BCCI on increasing security of players at the dressing room and around the ground. Players would be allowed to move freely outside their hotels under the security plan.
Australian team will leave for India on Sunday to play a series of four Test matches.
