The dawn-to-dusk Jharkhand bandh called by the Opposition parties in protest against the killing of JD(U) MLA Ramesh Singh Munda affected normal life today (July 10) at several places in Jharkhand.
The police said there was no report of untoward incident in the state.
Traffic on most highways, particularly linking Ranchi, was thin. Most of the educational institutions and shops were closed in the state capital.
Bandh was complete in Godda, Sahebganj, Ramgarh and Garwah.
There was mixed response to the Bandh in Hazaribag, Simdega, Gumla, Chatra, Pakur and Koderma and the bandh evoked very little response in Jamtara, Latehar and Bokaro, according to reports.
