Bank Of Punjab:Supreme Court Orders NAB To Recover Money

Supreme Court has ordered NAB to recover Bank of Punjab’s (BoP) money from Haris Steel Mill and file report in the court afterwards.
Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry has said that the Haris Steel Mill case be made a precedent for other such cases. During the hearing, the CJ remarked that it’s the court’s duty to recover the looted money.
Earlier, NAB and BoP jointly told the court that around Rs 500million has been recovered. A suggestion has also been floated for enhanced cooperation among NAB, BoP, FIA and Foreign Ministry for the recovery of the whole amount besides repatriation of Hamesh Khan from the US.
