Bharti Airtel net up 34 pc in Q1

Cellular operator Bharti Airtel today (July 24) announced a 34 per cent increase in net profit at Rs 2,025 crore for the quarter ended June 30, riding on new subscriber growth.
The Sunil Mittal company posted a 44 per cent increase in revenues at Rs 8,483 crore for the latest quarter.
Bharti provides mobile services on the GSM platform in all of India’s 23 service areas and accounts for nearly a quarter of the country’s total mobile users. It added 7.4 million users between April and June.
