Latest updates about Billy Bell So You Think You Can Dance Illness, Bell — a 19-year-old contemporary dancer from West Palm Beach, FL who was revealed one of the Fox reality competition’s sixth-season finalists during last week’s unveiling of the season’s Top 20 — will be replaced by Brandon Dumlao.

“We are disappointed that Billy cannot continue dancing in the competition on the advice of his doctor and wish him a speedy recovery,” So You Think You Can Dance executive producer and judge Nigel Lythgoe said. “However, we are fortunate that Brandon Dumlao has agreed to return.”
Dumlao is a 21-year-old hip hop dancer from Concord, CA.

In addition to contemporary dance, Bell, who is currently living in New York, NY and studying dance at The Juilliard School, has also trained in everything from hip hop to classical ballet.
