MUMBAI: Bollywood actress Ayesha Takia who has been much in news for quite sometime now, not because of her movies, but about her getting married to her long time boyfriend – restaurateur Farhan Azmi finally tied the knots.

The wedding was originally planned for December last year but was postponed after the November 26 terror attacks in Mumbai.

Unlike other Bollywood weddings, Ayesha and Farhan preferred to keep it simple. They had a quiet Nikaah like a traditional Muslim ceremony, amid close friends and family members at Farhan’s restaurant in Colaba. Infact it was being said that Ayesha & Farhan’s outfits were traditional ones and not made by any designers. While Farhan wore a sherwani, Ayesha stunned in a gold sharara.

According to the recent reports, though the Nikaah was a hush hush affair but the couple’s parents hosted a grand reception party in the evening at the CCI Stadium in Churchgate. And as many as 5000 guests were invited including many Bollywood luminaries to congratulate Ayesha & Farhan.
