Britney feels “prisoner” in her new lifestyle

Wednesday, November 19, 2008 at 3:11 am

Troubled pop singer Britney Spears, who made a remarkable comeback recently, says her “new” lifestyle makes her feel like “like Groundhog Day”. The 26-year-old singer, who had hit rock bottom last year and made news for her erratic behaviour across the world, stunned her fans by successfully bouncing back.

In a new documentary Britney revealed, “There’s no excitement, there’s no passion. I have really good days, and then I have bad days. Even when you go to jail you know there’s the time when you’re gonna get out.”

“But in this situation, it’s never ending. It’s just like Groundhog Day every day,” Sun reported.

The singer is strained by the “controlled” life that she is leading post her return to a normal lifestyle. “I think it’s too in control. If I wasn’t under the restraints I’m under, I’d feel so liberated. When I tell them the way I feel, it’s like they hear but they’re really not listening,” she said.

The singer, who is all set to performs on X Factor next weekend, feels that she is still “paying” for her infamous public meltdown last year when she shaved her head and lost custody of her two sons.

“If you do something wrong in your work, you can move on, but I’m having to pay for a long time. I never wanted to become one of those prisoner people. I always wanted to feel free,” the singer said.

Britney, however, admits that her “weird” life was all she had known but she did not realise how famous she was until she hit the bottom.

“I think Ive learnt my lesson now and enough is enough,” she said.
