Bullish KSE-100 Index Beyond 9600 Points

KARACHI: Recent approval of US aid package for Pakistan and boost in foreign portfolio investment at Karachi Stock Exchange pushed the benchmark KSE-100 Index beyond the psychological barrier of 9600 level Tuesday.
After Eid holiday the trade began with increase in century points, however foreign portfolio investment soon pushed the benchmark KSE-100 Index beyond the psychological barrier of 9600 level – the highest rank in last 13 months.
Telecom, Oil and Gas, Fertilizers and Cement sectors proved attractive for investors.
Huge foreign investments in the current month and recent approval of US aid package of 2.28 billion for Pakistan have fuelled the market.
