Bus Accident In Skardu 34 Killed

SKARDU: At least 34 people were killed or went missing when a speedy coach skidded off the road and plunged into Indus River here Thursday morning.
The bus with 35-40 passengers on board was on its way from Skardu to Rawalpindi when it veered off the road near Malopi Rindu area and fell into the river as its driver lost control over the steering.
According to initial reports the accident was a result of the breaks-failure of the ill-fated bus.
Locals and area police reached the accident site soon after and were carrying out relief activities, reports the channel.
