Bush Gives Phone Call To PM Gilani

ISLAMABAD: US President George W. Bush Thursday telephoned Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani and congratulated him over the smooth transition of power.
Speaking to reporters in Parliament, Information Minister Sherry Rehman said the U.S. President phoned Pakistani Premier Yusuf Gillani and congratulated him on the smooth transfer of power
She said that Bush assured Gilani of his continued support for Pakistan and its government.
Sherry Rehman went on to say that the schedule for electing a new president would be announced in the next two days.
