Celeb status a hindrance for Pitt

Brad Pitt is one actor who recognises the pressure of being a celebrity. Pitt is plagued by his stardom which often proves to be a block while preparing for new challenging roles. The star admits that celebrity status “gets in the way” of surprising his fans with challenging film roles he takes on, Contactmusic reported.
Although the 45-year-old is grateful for the opportunities his fame provides he had recently faced the daunting task of playing a man ageing backwards in new film ‘The Curious Case of Benjamin Button’.
Pitt insists being a mega movie star can overshadow the intense preparation required for actors portraying different roles.
“I think celebrity gets in the way. If you’re not fully valued it’s easy to surprise. It’s really nice. It sets you up to surprise people. There are pluses and minuses. It’s a card game really. Celebrity can cloud what you’re doing,” he said.
“If I know the degree of difficulty I’m taking on, or someone else is taking on in their respected role, and that’s not always seen usually, it can be avalanched by celebrity itself. But believe me man, I’m enjoying it. I feel quite fortunate.” the ‘Troy’ star added.
