Chief Justice Iftikhar Chaudhry Reaches Lahore ISLAMABAD: The flight carrying deposed chief justice Iftikhar Mohammed Chaudhry landed at Lahore airport on Saturday to address a lawyers’ convention in Lahore.

Former president Supreme Court Bar Aitzaz Ahsan, Ali Ahmed Kurd, provincial law minister Rana Sanaullah and others received Justice Iftikhar at the airport.

A large number of political workers from Pakistan Muslim League-N, Jamat Islami, Tehrik-e-Insaf and other parties, lawyers and members of civil society were present at the airport to accord warm welcome to the deposed chief justice.

Some lawyers and political workers tried to enter in the airport which caused scuffles between the lawyers and police.

Security has been stepped up in Lahore on arrival of Justice Iftikhar Chaudhry in Lahore.

The government of Punjab has announced to offer the protocol of Chief Justice of Pakistan to the deposed chief justice.
