China Mass Murderer Executed

BEIJING : A MAN who murdered eight people including a widow who jilted him and her 2-year-old grandson has been executed.
Xiong Zhenlin, a junk collector, was executed on Thursday in the central city of Suizhou in Hubei province, after the death sentence was approved by the Supreme People’s Court.
who was divorced in September, hoped to remarry but was refused by both his ex-wife and the 43-year-old widow Zhu Deqing. He then killed Ms Zhu and the boy at their home in Luoyang town, outside Suizhou.
Police later discovered the bodies of three men and three women after searching ‘s junkyard. He was arrested in January.
He said he committed the murders because he ‘was anguished deeply in the heart,’ according to local media,. He also had financial difficulties.
All death penalties are reviewed by the Supreme People’s Court in Beijing before being carried out.
