Congress Retains Maharashtra, Haryana Chief ministers

According to details, the decision was taken by Congress President Sonia Gandhi after several rounds of consultations with party leaders.
Defense Minister AK Antony, one of the observers of Maharashtra, said Chavan was elected as the Congress Legislature Party (CLP) leader in the state.
He will be sworn in as Chief Minister of Maharashtra, the second part, Antony said.
Meanwhile, Prithviraj Chavan, observer of Haryana, said Hooda Sonia Gandhi has chosen to lead the CLP in the state. Hooda, 62, is likely to be sworn in as Chief Minister of Haryana today.
In Arunachal Pradesh, Dorjee Khandu CLP has chosen as its leader. Khandu along with congressional lawmakers staked claim to form the new government. The sweraing the ceremony will take place today.
