Congress to get majority in Bihar: Sharma

Sunday, March 21, 2010 at 7:57 pm

Bihar Pradesh Congress Committee (BPCC) chief Anil Sharma today claimed that Congress would form the next government in the state irrespective of the canard about infighting within the party being spread by its opponents and particularly chief minister Nitish Kumar.

“We will not allign with any party — particularly the RJD -LJP combine and will contest the coming assembly elections on our own strength and form the next government with the support of people by getting two third majority,” Sharma claimed.

He denied reports published in a section of the media that the second phase of ‘parivartan yatra’ could not be launched on March 17 due to infighting in the state unit of the Congress and stated that the yatra would commence on April one in which senior party leaders like Jagdish Tytler, Girish Sanghvi and others would participate.
