Darryl Durr Death sentence

Darryl Durr was a criminal who was 46 years old. He was on a death sentence for raping a six year old girl in the year 1988. The girl’s name was Angel Vincent. She was a friend of Darryl’s girlfriend. Vincent was kidnapped and her body was found after three months. Darryl not only raped her but also killed her brutally. Darryl’s girlfriend knew about the whole act but didn’t speak because of his threats.

Darryl tried hard to delay his death process. He claimed that he was allergic to a constituent of the injection that is injected to criminals before they are hung. All these claims were of no help as Darryl given death at the time decided by the court that was 10:36 am. Before the execution process, Darryl tried to create a scene by putting his head down for some time and by clenching his fists. It seemed that he was in acute pain but no one is sure. Darryl has been executed in the death house of Ohio. He was the fourth person to be executed in this year.

Kathleen McGarry was acting as Darryl’s lawyer. One week before the execution, she informed the officials about Darryl’s allergic. She backed her claim by saying that the Ohio Constitution promises to give a quick and painless death to the prisoners.

Other countries give a three drug cocktail to the prisoners for death but Ohio is the first country that injects the prisoners with sodium thiopental. This process is easier and less painful.
