Derogatory Views About Bangabandhu, JCD Leader Captured

Dhaka: A leader of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) was arrested for making derogatory remarks about Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman while cutting cake on the occasion of birth anniversary of BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia on Saturday night.(UNB)
Sheikh Alauddin Sohel, 24, general secretary of Kaliganj College JCD unit, was sent to jail on Sunday after he was produced before a court.
Sources said the Mothureshpur union BNP took preparations to observe the birth anniversary of Begum Khaleda Zia on Saturday night at ‘Dragon Tailors’ owned by a BNP leader at Nazimganj Bazar.
At one stage Alauddin passed derogatory comments about the father of the nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman amid protests from the local Awami League leaders.
