Dexter is a loving father and husband who live in the suburbs, this can be a challenge. This is especially true since Dexter neighborhood backyard barbecues favors block and has a neighborhood watch.
It is the latter which is the immediate problem of Dexter. A vandal is roaming the neighborhood of breaking things, such as bird baths and windows. This crime wave has sparked the neighborhood watch. This is seriously annoying, especially since occasionally Dexter must come and go underground when he is on his own work. So Dexter is hunting for the vandal to deal with him to his special way …
Meanwhile, Trinity has achieved this murderer hiding below. He is a loner, not described, not memorable. It also has a sick, twisted way of disposing of a victim, terrorizing involving him in his leap to death. Thus the profile of the bridge looks like a suicide, not murder. The only three people who are not fooled Lundy, since it fits the pattern of all the other murders, Debbie, because she really wants it back bad, and Dexter, which recognizes a kindred spirit when he sees one.
Throughout the series Dexter has struggled with the problem of seeming like a normal human being when it is not. He has learned to mimic normal human behavior, based on his observation of what is expected of a normal human being. He does not feel the emotions it expresses, it is by nature a sociopath. But Harry, his father taught him how to combine the Killer in Trinidad, by contrast, has solved the problem of having no human contact whatsoever. Trinity is indeed a ghost, a man who nobody knows or cares, until, of course, strikes.
