Eid And Chand Raat No Load Shedding: Pepco

LAHORE: Managing Director Pakistan Electric Power Company (PEPCO) Tahir Basharat Cheema Thursday vowed to shun load shedding on the occasion of Chand Raat and Eidul Fitr.
Talking to Geo News, MD PEPCO said power sector has emerged out of crisis and all thermal power plants are giving to optimal production, adding there is no issue left regarding money from IPPs.
Cheema said the government efforts have helped the circular debt to be whittled down to Rs91 billion from Rs400 billion.
The PEPCO official said the duration of load shedding was kept to the minimal and due to the increased hydal and thermal production, no load shedding would be carried out on Chand Raat and Eidul Fitr.
