Eid To Be Celebrated With Due Fervour

KARACHI: The people of Pakistan will celebrate Eid-ul-Azha with traditional religious fervour; festivity and enthusiasm today (Wednesday) like other parts of the country.
Eid congregations will be held in Eidgah, Imambargahs, principal mosques and open places across the country.
Ulema and Khatib in their Eid sermons will highlight the importance of the day and supreme sacrifice of Hazrat Ibrahim (AS) and offer special prayers for the progress, prosperity, integrity and solidarity of the country.
After exchange of Eid greeting, the worshipers while following Sunnah of Hazrat Ibrahim (AS) will sacrifice animals and distribute the meat to their neighbours, relatives and deserving persons.
The local news papers will bring out special Eid supplements while Television and Radio Channels also telecast and broadcast special Eid programmes.
The local administration ensured strict security arrangements in order to maintain law and order during Eid celebrations.
