On Monday 10 May, there was holiday in Philippines due to The Philippine Presidential Elections 2010. The election was held to decide the president of Philippines. Whoever wins will become the 15th president of Philippines. In the elections 2010 9 candidates are participating.
According to information 50Million people will cast their votes to decide who will win the election. The candidates who take maximum votes will win the election. More than 50 million ballots being printed and who take maximum out of it will become new president of Philippines. UK is also waiting for their new president so do Philippines people. They are also waiting and it will be decided after the results of election.
According to election Commissioner Gregorio Larrazabal, many election officers were not found at their deputed place due to violence. At many places elections are suspended and its announcement was made by James Jimenez the Comelec spokesman. There is some news that due to some technical reason the duration of voting was extended by 1 hour in many places. Balloting started off well but after some time due to new counting system it seemed difficult to continue and remained suspended for some time. The extra 1 hour was provided to overcome the delay caused.
