Bollywood’s biggest awards night may be over but all the buzz from the 54th Idea Filmfare awards refuses to die down.
It was a rousing welcome for the Mozart of Madras as he stepped on to the stage at the 54th annual Idea filmfare awards. A standing ovation for the A R Rahman who had just returned to India from Los Angeles with his rich Oscar haul.
Rahman clinched the award for the best Background score for ‘Jodha Akbar’.
But it wasn’t only Rahaman who got the audience’s emotions running high — the Lifetime Achievement award went to Om Puri and presenting it was none other than the Big B.
And if you thought that was it, then you are wrong. Farhan Akhtar went on to root for ‘pa’ Akhtar for the best Lyricist award again, bagged by ‘Jodha Akbar’.
We can surely say that the Filmfare awards ceremony was biggest night in Bollywood and it certainly lived up to all the hype and hoopla.
