Five Killed, Several Hurt In Wali Bagh Suicide Attack

CHARSADDA: Five persons killed and several wounded in suicide attack in Wali Bagh, the residence of ANP leader Asfandyar Wali Khan in Charsadda.
ANP leader remained safe as relief operations were launched immediately after the attack.
Interior Advisor Rehman Malik has ordered investigation of the incident.
According to ARY OneWorld correspondent the injured have been in critical condition adding that the death toll could increase.
According to DIG Mardan Syed Akhtar Ali Shah, a suicide attacker tried to enter in Wali Bagh, the residence of Awami National Party leader. Police opened fire over the bomber which detonated the blast in which according to initial reports five persons were killed including two policemen, a body guard of ANP leader and two party workers while three others wounded fatally.
The ministry of interior had received reports of possible attacks on Aftab Sherpao, Maulana Fazlur Rehman and Chief Minister of NWFP Amir Hyder Khan Hoti after which their personal security was further stepped up.
