Flowing silhouettes and soft colours rule Wills Fashion Week

The Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week kicked off to a starless but impressive signature collection from Gauri Nainika who stuck to flowing, straight lined and flowery creations that looked chic and wearable.
Models were dressed in designer duo Gauri & Nainika’s Victorian-style gowns and dresses which were created in dramatic summer hues. The theme of the Gauri-Nainika show was the freedom of summer. Models walked the ramp at the inaugural show of the Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week (WIFW) here Wednesday.”
The duo’s collection was aimed at reprising fashion of the 1930s with effortless drapes and softly constructed dresses. The silhouettes of all the gowns and dresses had tall, slim and free flowing looks to them.
Anjana bhargava’s ensemble was all set against white. Designer Anjana Bhargav presented a chic collection of apparels reflecting the choice of today’s youth, while Surily Goel went egyptian in her collection with roman sandals and vibrant pink, blue and green dominating her creations.
The biggest fashion trade event in India also saw Riya Sen walking the armp for Ranna Gill.
Approximately 80 designers are showcasing their collection in this season of ‘Wills Lifestyle Fashion Week’. The fashion week would provide a stage to 18 new designers to showcase their talent and woo the fashion glitterati.
About 160 buyers, including 70 from abroad, will attend the spring/summer edition of country’s leading business-to-business fashion event from Oct 15-19.
