Forces Complete Siege oF Matta

MINGORA: At least 30 militants were killed in clashes with troops in Buner during the ongoing operation increasing the number of dead militants to 46.

The forces have consolidated their control of Sultanwas and completed the siege of Matta.

Security forces are consolidating their positions in the valley by conducting search and destroy operations.

The forces have also destroyed the headquarters of the militants in Imam Dheri and Qambar areas.

According to earlier reports 16 more miscreants were killed in Swat clashes, while an officer and three other soldiers were martyred and 16 wounded in clashes with the miscreants in different parts of Malakand Division.

Meanwhile, in Mardan a militant commander Yousuf has been arrested. “He is a key commander of militants in Swat,” police sources said.
