Fresh clashes claim three lives in Kurram Agency, Pakistan

KURRAM AGENCY: At least three people were killed while six others injured as fighting between warring rival tribes continued in Kurram Agency here on Thursday.

Sources say ongoing clashes between Turi and Bangash tribes have taken three more lives in Kurram Agency. Mortar missiles, rockets and automated weapons were being used in fighting at some areas of Lower Kurram Agency and Pewar.
Meanwhile, death toll in month-long fighting has climbed to 700 including 400 militants.
People of the troubled zone have been facing severe problems in getting food, medicine, fuel and other essential of life, as roads remain closed since one year. The people trapped in the fighting tribes are also finding it difficult to fast.
Member of Parliament from Kurram Agency, Sajid Hussain Turi said that militants were taking part in fighting, which destroyed the law and order situation.
