Gen Kayani Assured Him of Cooperation: Mike Mullen WASHINGTON: Admiral Mike Mullen, Chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff, has termed the Pakistan’s cooperation vital in eliminating terrorism from the region, saying that he is working to “fill the breach” between US and Pakistan Army.

In an interview with a US newspaper published Saturday, Mullen expressed hope that he would succeed in bringing a “positive change” in Pakistan’s mindset.

Top US military official said that Pakistan Army chief General Ashfaq Pervez Kayani has assured him of cooperation in war against extremism being carried out by the US in the region with other local and global partners.

“I hope the confidence will soon be restored between the two forces, US and Pakistan,” he said.
