General Ashfaq Pervez Kiyani Visits Operation-Hit Areas Of Buner

RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaq Pervez Kiyani visited the operation-affected areas of district Buner to review the first hand progress of ongoing operation on ground,

COAS Kiyani arrived in Dagar town of Buner here Thursday and met with the commanders and troopers of the security forces being engaged in the offensive against militants in the area.

He discussed the operational issues during his meetings with the field commanders, it was reported.

Commanders of the forces briefed the COAS on the latest situation of the battle field and various aspects of the ongoing military operation, a spokesman of the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said.

Gen Kiyani expressed the hope that the operation would soon be completed after meeting with its set targets.
