Govt tells SC Sethu didn’t exist

The UPA after initially denying the existence of Ram, now tells the Supreme Court that there was no existence of the Ram Sethu.
In a highly controversial move, the Centre quashing the existence of the Ram Sethu, orally informed the Supreme Court that it was going ahead with the project.
Quoting the “Kam-ban Ramayan”, the Centre argued that there was no bridge to be destroyed in the first place, as Ram had himself destroyed it according to the book, and so the Archealogical Survey of India (ASI) would take a very long time to establish the bridge’s prior existence.
Earlier, the Supreme Court had indicated to the Centre that it should try to accommodate issues of religious faith while drawing out the final route in the Ram Sethu project.
