SRINAGAR: Hundreds of Kashmiris offered their arrests during three-day ‘Jail-bharo’ movement in Indian-held Kashmir Monday.

The protestors demanded that United Nations should deploy international peace force in the disputed Kashmir valley. A three-day ‘Jail-bharo’ movement has been launched against Indian brutalities and violation of human rights in Kashmir.

Meanwhile, tens of thousands of Kashmiris marched through Srinagar on Monday and demanded that United Nations should play its role to recognise the Himalayan region`s right to self-determination.

Speaking on the occasion, Hurriat leader Syed Ali Gilani said that right to self-determination would solve several issues faced by the Kashmiri people.

Hurriat leaders presented a memorandum to United Nations in which they demanded to intervene directly in Kashmir issue.
