ICC World Cup Twenty20 is scheduled from June 5th to 21st in England. The world T20 campaign features world’s best players representing the countries, to showcase their skills to play the short format of T20 cricket on global platform.

The ICC World Cup T20 England 2009 is the second ICC World Twenty20 Championship and the first inaugural event happened in 2007 in South Africa. India defeated Pakistan in the final to lift the trophy.

What’s surprising at ICC T20 England is that the T20 World Cup 2009 will have the women’s event too integrated with the men’s; first time ever for world cup cricket.

The men’s tournament will be played in Lords’ Trent Bridge and The Oval with 12 teams and women’s tournament will be played with 8 teams and at Taunton, Trent Bridge, The Oval and Lords. The men’s games will be followed by women’s every match day. World cup cricket at England itself spurs excitement and when it is world twenty20, the excitement and fun cannot be contained as we will have 2 matches almost every day; so we can see 4 teams vying for a win in 20-20 overs.
