Independence Day shocker for Bush
Sunday, July 6, 2008 at 2:07 am
The US celebrated its Independence Day ceremony in Virginia with colourful parades and brilliant fireworks display with President George W Bush marking the occasion by welcoming 72 new citizens. However, what happened at the occassion is what President Bush had least expected. While Bush was giving a welcome speech for new U.S. citizens at the ceremony, a when chorus of shouts came from the audience and a man got up and started throwing slang at the US President.
The audiences were carrying protester saying Bush a “war criminal” while others shouted expletives. The hecklers who disrupted the ceremony were removed by the secret service men. Bush then went on to complete the welcoming ceremony for the new US citizens – an annual affair on the American Independence day.
