India Rejects Third-Party Role in Pakistan Talks, India is not serious to establish peace in the region as it has rejected once again 3rd party mediation to resolve the disputes with Pakistan.
“A third-country role cannot be envisaged nor is it necessary,” India’s external affairs ministry said in a statement on Wednesday, a day after the US and Chinese presidents pledged cooperation on South Asian issues.
The Indian government said it was committed to resolving all outstanding issues including Kashmir bilaterally with Pakistan in accordance with the 37-year-old Simla agreement.
In their joint statement on Tuesday, US President Barack Obama and his Chinese counterpart Hu Jintao vowed support to moves aimed at improving ties between India and Pakistan.
