India, Russia, China to Expand Counter terror Cooperation BANGALORE: India, Russia, China to Expand Counter-terror Cooperation, India, Russia and China agreed Wednesday to cooperate closely in the fight against terrorism from Pakistan and Afghanistan
provide stability to the region.

The three countries also agreed to boost trilateral relations in various fields such as health, agriculture and disaster mitigation, in addition to the decision to cooperate closely on climate change and reduce the impact of global recession.

Foreign Minister SM Krishna, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Chi Jei held two-hour meeting to review progress in the eight rounds of a trilateral dialogue.

Meeting format, RIC – Russia-India-China, the three leaders also discussed the situation in the region, particularly in the context of terrorism from Afghanistan and Pakistan.

After the meeting, the leaders told reporters that their talks were “productive” and had identified new areas of cooperation.

“We have shared views on various events and have found that we have common approaches,” Krishna said in the joint press meet in which he took no questions.

He said the three leaders were of the view that cooperation between the three countries in combating terrorism and transnational crime will provide stability to the region.
